How to Create Reminders with Groupie

⏰ How to Create Reminders with Groupie

Need a quick nudge before your event or an important group post? Groupie can send you private reminders right inside WhatsApp — no app switching, no calendars required.

✅ What You Can Remind Yourself About

You can use Groupie to remind you about:

  • A scheduled event or post
  • A specific time or day
  • A custom task or activity (e.g., "submit report")

🚀 How to Create a Reminder

🔹 Syntax:

Groupie remind me about <thing you want to be reminded of>

Examples:

Groupie remind me about tomorrow's event
Groupie remind me about Saturday 10am meeting
Groupie remind me about the family party
Groupie remind me about posting at 8pm

✅ Groupie will understand your intent and send you a private message at the right time.

🕒 Using Natural Language

You can use natural time formats like:

Tomorrow 5pm
Next Friday at 2pm
April 30 at 6pm
In 2 hours

Note: Your reminders follow your personal timezone, which you can set with:

Groupie set my timezone to Africa/Lagos

📅 Linking Reminders to Events

If you've created an event like:

Groupie create event for Saturday 6pm: Game Night

You can later say:

Groupie remind me about Game Night

Groupie will recognize the event and set a private reminder before it starts.

✨ What Happens When It's Time?

When your reminder time comes, Groupie will send you a message like:

🔔 Reminder: Your Game Night is scheduled for 6:00 PM today. Don't forget! 🎲

❓ Can I Get Reminders for Posts Too?

Yes! If you want to remind yourself to follow up on a post or create a new one:

Groupie remind me to post the weekend update
Groupie remind me to check responses at 9pm

This works great for content creators, moderators, and team leads.

💡 Tips

  • Combine reminders with events for better planning.
  • Use reminders to build habits (e.g., post daily tips).
  • You can create as many reminders as you like — Groupie won't forget.
